The Equipped Coach: Book of Ephesians study offers valuable lessons that shape both life and competition—on and off the field. When we grasp this truth and ground ourselves in the riches of His grace, we are equipped to compete— and live—differently. Paul’s letter divides naturally into five segments: the first two focused on doctrine (what God has done for us), and the remaining three focused on practice (how we walk it out).

Josh Thiessen, son of longtime coach and Kingdom Sports founder Gordon Thiessen, understands the influential role coaches play and the need to equip them with the wisdom of the Word of God. As the teaching pastor at Providence Bible Church near Omaha, NE, Josh is passionate about teaching and explaining Scripture verse by verse. He is married to Ashley and the father of four active boys. A graduate of The Master’s Seminary (M.Div. Th.M.), Josh is completing his Ph.D. at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
