John: Volume 1 (John 1-12) - The Believing Athlete is a twelve-week Bible study through John 1–12 that helps athletes discover that their greatest identity is not found in trophies, statistics, or championships, but in Jesus Christ. As John's Gospel reveals who Jesus is, athletes will learn what it means to compete with purpose, live with integrity, overcome fear, and honor God both on and off the field.

Each lesson combines Scripture, practical application, engaging questions, and prayer to help athletes grow in their faith while developing character that lasts long after the final whistle. Whether you are a student-athlete, collegiate competitor, or simply desire to honor Christ through sports, this study will challenge you to pursue the ultimate prize by living a life devoted to Jesus Christ.

Continue the journey in Volume 2 (John 13–21), where John's Gospel leads to the cross, the empty tomb, and Christ's final commission to His followers.

Josh Thiessen serves as the teaching pastor at Providence Bible Church near Omaha, Nebraska. Passionate about teaching and explaining God's Word, he is committed to helping people understand and apply the Scriptures to everyday life. Josh is married to Ashley, and together they are raising four active boys. He earned both his Master of Divinity and Master of Theology degrees from The Master's Seminary and is currently completing his Ph.D. at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
