Lessons of Faith from the Unnamed in the Bible

For twenty seasons, I've served as chaplain for the University of Oklahoma softball team, walking with them through every high and heartache. After four straight national championships, a new team sat before me-talented, determined, yet wrestling with a heavy question: "How do we follow legends? How do we step out of the shadow of those unforgettable names?”

In prayer, God answered with a stunning truth: the Bible is full of nameless people whose quiet faith changed history forever. Ordinary men and women who said yes to God and left an eternal mark, not because of fame, but because of faithfulness. That revelation became our team's anchor that season. We studied those hidden heroes together and discovered that God delights in using ordinary lives to do extraordinary things.

This book is for you if you've ever felt overlooked, too small, or wondered, "Does anyone even see me? Does anyone know my name?" Hear this: God sees you. He knows your name. And right now, in your ordinary place, He is writing a story through you that will echo into eternity. May these pages lift your eyes and set your heart ablaze with unshakable hope.
