In "Time to be Brave," Coach Ron Brown will challenge you to not withdraw or shrink from your responsibilities in today's culture despite the pain or cost to you personally. This speech was given during the spring of 2001 in Grand Island, Ron spoke to a crowd of more than 1,000 students and adults.

Ron Brown played defensive back at Brown University. He later signed with several NFL teams. Prior to coming to the Univ. of Nebraska as a receivers coach, he was the defensive back coach at Brown Univ. Coach Brown is a regular columnist for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes magazine, Sharing the Victory. A national spokesman for the FCA on race relationships, he is the co-founder of Mission Nebraska, and has also written Unfinished Business, The Mark of a Champion, Teamwork, Peak Performance and Miracle in Missouri. In addition to hosting two radio programs, he shares his message on many cable access channels. Ron is married to Molvina Carter, and they have two daughters: Sojourner Elaine and Bronwyn Pearl.
